What Size Snaps Do I Need?

The size that is right for you will depend on your project, the fabric you are going to use, how many layers you need to go through, and your preference.  The information below are general guidelines.

1)  Size 20 are our most common size and can be used for most general projects like baby diapers and clothing.   These are the most popular size of plastic snaps, have the largest variety of color choices, have a good strong hold, and are a good starter size for most projects.

2)  Size 16 are most commonly used for baby and toddler clothing, pacifier ribbon clips, mama pads, and multiple layers of ribbon.

3)  Our Size 14 have 5.0mm prongs and can be used in most applications where Size 16 snaps are used, like baby and toddler clothing, pacifier ribbon clips, and multiple layers of ribbon.

4)  Size 22 (Size 18 for Back Cap) are for heavy duty applications requiring a stronger grip like tote bags, coats, tarps, and upholstery.

The smaller the size of snaps usually means the shorter the prong and the thinner the fabric they can be used in.  We do carry longer pronged Size 16 and Size 20 (in White or Black) for thicker fabric projects.

Pacifier Supplies Have Arrived!!!

We are thrilled to announce after much research, we now offer yet another great selection of crafting supplies.  We have recently acquired Silicone MAM rings for your button pacifiers, Plastic Pacifier Clips, and just today we got in Enameled Round 1 Inch Pacifier Clips.  

Our MAM rings are BPA free and food grade Silicone.  We are carrying them in Clear, Pink and Blue.

Our Plastic KAM Pacifier Clips, we carry them in Clear and White at this time.

KAM Snaps and Crafts: Cover Button Kits

We have recently expanded our inventory to carry Cover Button Kits.  They drew our eye because of their versatility.  They aren't your grandma's fabric covered buttons.  Cover buttons can still be used to for clothing but the creative uses are almost endless . . . Add them to the ends of Bobby Pins or hair ties to create accents for your hairdo.  Add them to Jumbo Paper Clips to create an attractive bookmark for your favorite book.  Add them to Badge Reels and attach your work ID for an attractive alternative to simply clipping your ID to your shirt.  These are just a couple ideas in a long list of creative uses.

I grew up as many of you probably did, crafting with anything I could get my hands on from twigs to the pansies in my momma's borders. Now I am raising my own children and watching them create little figurines out of twigs and weeds and turn paper in to confetti. If you walked through my house on any given day, you might mistake it for an exploded confetti factory. Bits of paper and imagination everywhere!!! Since I am up to my elbows in diapers and crafts, I thought why not sell crafty things.

Plastic snaps caught my eye first. My husband is the creator of the GotLux Professional Photographic Lighting Accessories and he uses these very snaps in the upcoming Pro and ProX models. The colors and usefulness of them drew me to them and so I researched them. I discovered the many varied ways they can be used and I was hooked.
